Submit your entry before June 1 to gain exposure and opportunities
Students with an interest in agriculture, beef production, and sustainability have an opportunity to showcase their work and connect with industry leaders through the upcoming Canadian Beef Industry Conference (CBIC).
The 2026 conference will take place August 18–20 at the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg, and organizers are now accepting abstract submissions for the annual CBIC Student Poster Competition.
The competition is open to students studying agriculture, animal science, environmental sciences, sustainability, or related fields.
It provides a platform to present research, gain exposure, and engage with professionals from across the beef value chain.
In addition, graduate students working on beef sustainability topics, including environmental, social, or economic aspects, can apply for one of two Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB) Graduate Student Sponsorships. These sponsorships cover travel, registration, and hotel costs.
Students selected for the CRSB sponsorship will also participate in the CBIC poster competition and present at the CRSB Annual General Meeting as part of the experience.
Both opportunities offer valuable networking and learning experiences, connecting students with leaders and representatives from across the industry.
The deadline to submit abstracts for both the poster competition and the sponsorship is June 1, 2026.
