Those interested must apply before the Oct. 31 deadline.
Applications are being accepted for the 2027 Business Mentorship Network (BMN) offered by Young Agrarians.
The program pairs newer farmers with experienced producers for one-on-one mentorship focused on farm business management. Participants receive approximately 30 hours of mentorship over the course of a year and have access to webinars covering topics such as financial management, business structure, taxation and marketing.
The program is open to farmers involved in primary production, including livestock, grain, fruit, vegetable, flower and beekeeping operations. It is designed for those in the early stages of farming, taking over an existing operation, or adding a new enterprise to their business.
Along with individual mentorship, participants take part in online learning sessions, Q&A opportunities and networking activities with other farmers in the cohort.
According to Young Agrarians, the mentorship network has operated since 2013. By the completion of the 2025 cohort, the program had connected 240 farmers on 164 farms with 100 mentors.
The program is intended for farmers who have been operating for one to 10 years. Priority is given to farmers aged 18 to 35, although applicants outside that age range may also be considered. Successful applicants matched with a mentor are required to pay a $100 program fee.
Applications for the 2027 cohort close Oct. 31, 2026. Young Agrarians is also accepting applications from experienced producers interested in serving as mentors.
