In lieu of in-person gatherings, and in an effort to provide updates on industry issues and current projects, Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) hosted a virtual Producer Town Hall this week, via Zoom.
The Producer Town Hall provided updates on the ABP elections and Annual General Meeting, the May issue of the ABP magazine, upcoming communications initiatives and recent government relations efforts. Some of the issues covered included: coal policy consultation, COVID-19 vaccinations for processing plant workers, public land use and business risk management programs.
The 2021 Environmental Stewardship Award was presented to Scott and Elan Lees of Soderglen South, with video highlights from the ranch.
Special thanks to Alberta Cattle Feeders’ Association, Alberta Grazing Leaseholders Association, Canadian Cattlemen’s Association and Western Stock Growers’ Association for your collaborative efforts on some of these issues.
