What We’re Reading | Local feedlot donates $360,000 towards new multi-use rec centre in Coaldale

The Coaldale STRONG! Capital Campaign has just received another significant monetary gift. The campaign is a fundraiser for the new multi-use recreation centre in the town.

KCL Cattle Company Ltd. has donated $360,000 to the initiative. The goal for Coaldale is to generate $2 million in philanthropic support for the new rec centre.

KCL Cattle Company Ltd. is a feedlot and farm near Coaldale that is owned and operated by Les and Lisa Wall, along with their two daughters Celia and Karleen, and son-in-law Jared.

In a joint statement, the Wall’s said, “our family set down roots in Coaldale in the 1920s and, since then, we have been fortunate to run and grow our business in the Coaldale area.”
