WSGA offers agriculture tour of Spain and Portugal

The Western Stock Growers’ Association (WSGA) has partnered with Leader Tours to offer producers, their families, and friends the opportunity for an agricultural and cultural tour of Spain and Portugal, scheduled for late January through early February 2026.

The itinerary blends agricultural learning with world-class sightseeing while showcasing beef operations, unique regional livestock, and the rich history and culture of both countries. Participants will experience everything from Spanish cattle ranches and a Portuguese cork farm to flamenco dancing and Mediterranean beaches.

Tour highlights include:

• Visits to beef operations in La Berguera (Spain) and Alentejo (Portugal)
• Stops at a Spanish horse stud farm, a ranch raising bulls for the bull ring, and a Manchego sheep farm
• Tours of olive groves, cork production facilities, and the José Maria da Fonseca Wine Estate with tasting
• Sightseeing in Barcelona, Seville, Lisbon, Cordoba, and more
• Visits to cathedrals, castles, palaces, the Alhambra, and the historic Roman city of Tarraco
• A flamenco show in Seville and a traditional Fado performance in Lisbon

The 13-night trip includes accommodations in 4-star hotels, all breakfasts, two lunches, and nine dinners, plus guided tours and private transportation. The land-only price is $5,659 per person (twin rate), with a single supplement of $985.
