Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame nominations open

Nominations are now being accepted for the Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame, which recognizes Albertans who have made a lasting contribution to the province’s agriculture and food sector, as well as rural communities.

The Hall of Fame has been recognizing leaders in Alberta agriculture since 1951. Individuals can be nominated for their work in areas such as farming, research, education, advocacy, business development and industry leadership. Up to three people are inducted every two years.

To be eligible, nominees must have demonstrated long-term leadership and made a significant impact on Alberta agriculture. Posthumous nominations are also accepted.

Since 1951, 144 Albertans have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Nominations for the 2027 induction class will be accepted until October 23, 2026. Nomination forms and additional information are available on the Alberta government website.
