AgriStability enrollment deadline extended to July 31

In response to the ongoing challenges in the agricultural sector, the federal, provincial, and territorial governments have decided to extend the AgriStability enrolment deadline for the 2025 program year from April 30 to July 31, 2025.

AgriStability, a margin-based program, aims to assist producers in managing significant income declines. This extension provides farmers with additional time to assess their needs and address the impacts of various challenges, such as production losses, rising costs, and fluctuating market conditions. Farmers facing losses are encouraged to apply for interim payments under AgriStability for quicker support.

Producers can access a comprehensive range of business risk management (BRM) programs, including AgriStability, to handle substantial risks that threaten their farm’s viability and are beyond their control. BRM programs often serve as the primary support for farmers dealing with disasters. Farmers are urged to utilize these programs to safeguard their operations and contribute to a more resilient Canadian agriculture sector.
