FCC doubles sustainability incentive for 2025

The Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (CRSB) has announced the opening of Farm Credit Canada’s 2025 Sustainability Incentive applications.

This year, FCC has doubled the maximum annual incentive payment per operation to $4,000 to support farmers and ranchers in their sustainability efforts.

Incentive payments are calculated based on a portion of FCC lending, with a cap of $4,000 per year. Existing participants can reapply annually, and new applications are welcome until January 31, 2026.

Eligibility requirements for the CRSB certified sustainability incentive:

• Must be CRSB Certified through a CRSB-approved certification body (Verified Beef Production Plus (VBP+), Ontario Corn Fed Beef Quality Assurance Program, or Where Food Comes From)
• Must be a FCC customer in good standing with a balancing owing on eligible, existing FCC lending
