Key AFSC deadlines approaching
As the 2025 agricultural season progresses, it’s crucial for producers to stay informed about important deadlines set by Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC). These deadlines ensure that your crops, livestock, and beekeeping operations are adequately insured and protected.
Here are the upcoming deadlines to mark on your calendar:
April 30, 2025
- Annual Crop Insurance: Last day to file Land Reports for fall-seeded crops.
- AgriStability: Last day to select optional reference margin methodology for the 2025 program year.
- AgriStability: Last day to enroll, pay fees (without penalty), or opt out for the 2025 program year.
- Perennial Crop Insurance: Last day to remove grazing livestock from insured hay fields.
- Annual Crop Insurance: Last day to apply, make changes (including updating your declared acres), or cancel coverage.
May 15, 2025
- Bee Overwintering Insurance: Notify AFSC 10 days prior to unwrapping hives. Coverage will be denied if AFSC is notified after May 15.
June 12, 2025
- Livestock Price Insurance – Calf: Last day to purchase calf insurance for 2025.
June 20, 2025
- Annual Crop Insurance: Last day to file Land Reports and report acres that remain unseeded due to excessive moisture. Login to AFSC Connect to complete.
June 25, 2025
- Hail Insurance: Premiums received by AFSC the later of June 25 or within 15 days of billing date receive an early payment discount.
- Perennial Crop Insurance: Premiums received by AFSC the later of June 25 or within 15 days of billing date receive an early payment discount.
- Annual Crop Insurance: Premiums received by AFSC the later of June 25 or within 15 days of billing date receive an early payment discount.
- Annual Crop Insurance: Last day to file Land Reports (with penalty). Login to AFSC Connect to complete.
June 30, 2025
- Bee Overwintering Insurance: Last day to apply, make changes, or cancel coverage.
- Honey Insurance: Last day to return hives to their primary location and file Report of Producing Hives and Hive Yard Location forms.
July 15, 2025
- Perennial Crop Insurance: Last day to file Report of Hay and Report of Timothy Hay in Storage prior to harvest.
July 31, 2025
- Hail Insurance: Last day to purchase Straight Hail Insurance. Login to AFSC Connect to create and save estimates or purchase coverage.
