Alberta producers and processors interested in accessing funding through the On-Farm Value-Added Program or Value-Added Program have until Nov. 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. to submit an application. No new applications will be accepted for the remained of the 2026-27 fiscal year after that date.
Both programs are funded through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP).
The On-Farm Value-Added Program supports primary producers who are looking to process, develop, or market products beyond the farm gate. Eligible projects may include expanding processing capacity, improving food safety systems, developing new products, or accessing new markets.
The Value-Added Program is aimed at Alberta food and bio-industrial processors and supports projects focused on business growth, increased production capacity, product development, and market expansion.
Funding is available through two streams under both programs, with grants of up to $50,000 under Stream A and up to $250,000 under Stream B, depending on project eligibility and requirements.
Program information, eligibility details and application materials are available at alberta.ca/sustainable-cap. Questions can be directed to s-cap.valueaddedprograms@gov.ab.ca
