Alberta AgriSystems Living Lab is looking for producers to complete the Adoption of Beneficial Management Practices Survey.
This survey will help determine the baseline rates of adoption of specific beneficial management practices (BMPs) among farmers and ranchers in Alberta that have impacts on profitability, productivity, carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions.
This survey is targeting annual crop, beef/forage/feedlot, or mixed producers who have not signed up to participate in the Living Lab program.
If you are a core participant (core producer) in any of the three Living Labs (Alberta AgriSystems, Regenerative Alberta, Peace Region) in Alberta, please do not complete this survey.
The survey may take up to 35 minutes to complete, depending on the type and size of the operation. All responses can be top of mind, meaning there is no need to look up records to respond.
The analysis of the survey data will be publicly available and used to inform Alberta AgriSystems Living Lab (AALL) knowledge translation and transfer efforts.
No personal information will be shared, and all data will be anonymized to ensure information cannot be traced back to any individual producer.
The deadline to complete the survey is May 30, 2023. More information about the survey is available here.
We have also partnered with 4-H clubs in Alberta to provide them with a small payment for each completed survey referred by a 4-H club. If a 4-H club has referred you, be sure to fill out the survey in full, including the final question asking for the name of the 4-H club – this is how we can identify each club for their fundraising efforts.
