OFCAF applications now open through RDAR
Applications for the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF), delivered in Alberta through the Results Driven Agriculture Research (RDAR), are now open.
The OFCAF program provides financial support to producers to accelerate the adoption and implementation of on-farm Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs) intended to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions while supporting production efficiency, sustainability and resilience on farm operations.
Updates for 2026
Several updates have been introduced for the 2026 intake:
- The maximum funding available through OFCAF has increased to $100,000, up from the previous $75,000 cap.
- For nitrogen management, the maximum funding available remains capped at $20,000 per operation over the 2022 to 2028 program period.
- Two new eligible BMP categories have also been added.
- A Rotational Grazing Virtual Fencing category is now included, along with a new template and checklist for applicants.
- Cover Crop Seeding Using Drones has also been added as a new BMP, with its own application template.
Producers interested in applying are encouraged to review the OFCAF Program Guide for full details on eligibility, requirements and application steps.
