A delegate’s perspective on getting involved

ABP delegate nominations are open, and Brenda Rosadiuk, Central Zone Delegate and ABP’s Finance Chair, is encouraging producers to consider putting their name forward.

“Serving as a delegate is one of the best ways for a producer to get involved in our industry,” said Rosadiuk, in a recent Cattle Country radio segment. “You get to see the issues at hand right up front and be part of shaping the future direction. It’s a real leadership role that helps ensure producers’ voices are heard.”

She adds that any producer 18 or older who has paid check-off in the past two years can put their name forward — or nominate someone they think would make a great representative.

“If you know someone who would make a great delegate, encourage them to run and help them out by serving as their nominator,” she says. “The best place to get all the information is on the ABP website or by calling the office.”
