Producers are encouraged to provide their feedback from April 13 to June 12

The 60-day period gives producers the opportunity to review the draft Code and provide input before it is finalized.
“The public comment period is an important opportunity for producers across Canada to review the draft Code and provide feedback on how it applies to their operations,” says CCA President Tyler Fulton.
“Producer perspectives from across the country help ensure the Code reflects the diversity of Canadian beef production systems and remains practical for producers who raise cattle.”
For those planning to take part, below are a few notes about how the process works and how to get involved.

Producers can:
Comments can be submitted as an individual or on behalf of an organization.
All feedback submitted through the process will be reviewed by the Code development committee as part of the NFACC process.
A summary report outlining what was heard and how it was considered will be published alongside the final Code.
The updated Code is expected to be released in 2027.
The draft Code, supporting materials, and the comment survey are available through NFACC’s website.
The public comment period runs from April 13 to June 12, 2026.
