Producers needed for one-on-one interviews – just a handful more participants required.
Do you have insights on veterinary care in your area? The University of Calgary’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is looking for a few more cattle producers to take part in a research study about veterinary service access across Alberta.
Led by Dr. John Remnant and DVM student Reillee Duperron, the study is focused on better understanding which veterinary services cattle producers value most, how accessible those services are, and what kinds of gaps still exist — particularly in light of the current vet shortage in rural Alberta.
Veterinary care is a critical part of our operations, and this research will help inform the veterinary community about the real-world needs of Alberta beef producers. Whether you’ve had great experiences or faced challenges accessing care, your input will help shape training, planning, and policy for the future.
Interested? Here’s How to Get Involved:
Participation in this study is strictly voluntary. If you’re interested in being involved, please sign up to be interviewed.
If you’d like to learn more, please contact Reillee Duperon at reillee.duperron@ucalgary.ca or 403-210-9343.
Contacting the research team for clarification does not initiate participation – a short consent form and interview details will be provided to you later in the event you wish to move forward.
