RDAR has extended the OFCAF intake pause after receiving more than 900 applications requesting $21.2 million in funding, exceeding available program dollars
A major boost in producer demand for opportunities ranging from virtual fencing to regenerative agriculture has led to some timeline adjustments for the team at RDAR.
RDAR’s On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) Program Team has announced that the “intake pause” for its 2026 OFCAF program is being extended while submitted applications continue to be reviewed.
According to RDAR, more than 900 applications have been received, representing over $21.2 million in requested funding. That exceeds the approximately $17.2 million available through the 2026 program.
RDAR says applications are currently being assessed for eligibility, completeness and alignment with program requirements.
“Demand exceeds available funding, so not all applications can be approved,” RDAR noted in its update to producers.
The intake pause will remain in place while the assessment process advances and funding decisions are finalized.
RDAR says submitted applications are being reviewed against program criteria, available funding and program delivery capacity to ensure a consistent and effective allocation of resources.
Producers who submitted applications will be notified once decisions have been made to approve or decline their applications.
RDAR is emphasizing that application approval is not the final step in the process.
Successful applicants will be required to confirm their participation and accept the implementation responsibilities associated with their projects before funding commitments become active.
Applications that are not accepted within required timelines may be released and reallocated. RDAR is also noting that a waitlist will be maintained should funding become available.
Applicants are encouraged to:
RDAR says future intake information will be provided once the current assessment process has progressed further.
Program updates will continue to be posted through RDAR’s OFCAF program channels.
