You’re Invited: Alberta AgriSystems Living Lab offers Dinner and Information Sessions

The ABP-led Alberta AgriSystems Living Lab (AALL) is hosting four information sessions this October, for those interested in learning more about the initiative.

AALL: Where research meets reality.

AALL is a research initiative that brings traditional science and boots-on-the-ground experience together.

Through a process called co-development, researchers and other industry stakeholders identify various beneficial management practices (BMPs), adapt them if necessary, implement them on-farm, and measure the impacts.

Any beef, forage, or cropping producer that has an interest in on-farm adoption of BMPs is welcome to participate! AALL is targeting around 51 producers primarily located in the Peace, west central, or southern parts of Alberta.

Event Details

Dinner and Info Sessions will be held in Lethbridge, Winfield, and Grande Prairie. For those who can’t make the in-person events, a virtual Info Session will follow.

• October 13 – Grande Prairie, Alberta
• October 19 – Virtual

Registration deadline for in-person events is October 6, 2022.

Upcoming Events

The Alberta AgriSystems Living Lab (AALL) led by Alberta Beef Producers is focused on measuring the impacts of beneficial management practices (BMPs) in the following areas: cropping systems, crop rotations, land use changes, nutrient/fertilizer management, grazing management, livestock feeding, and optimizing carbon storage in production systems. The results from this project will be used to help direct government policy makers and to demonstrate the value of the environmental goods and services provided by producers every day.
