Central Alberta Forage and Livestock Association, Regenerative Alberta Living Lab, and 4 Clover Ranch will host “Grazing Across Continents” at Arbutus Community Hall in Clearwater County.
The event features presentations, peer discussions, and a field tour with Australian grazers, focusing on regenerative grazing practices and international collaboration.
Coffee and registration begin at 9:30 AM, with lunch included and an optional BBQ supper to follow.
Beaver biology, ecosystem benefits, and coexistence strategies have been covered in previous workshops, so this year’s events will examine beaver relocation as another tool to promote watershed health and climate resiliency.
Specifically, the presentation will review how beaver relocations occur in other jurisdictions and the biological, regulatory, and social conditions that must precede beaver relocation into an area. Expect some ‘beaver banter’ time to discuss considerations in a working landscape and to recruit interest from landowners of potential recipient sites.

Founded in 1993, BBQ on the Bow was created to jointly promote “southern BBQ” and Alberta agricultural products (pork, beef and chicken). Now in it’s 31st year the event has endured everything mother nature has had to throw at it and has evolved from a small competition with a handful of teams to one of Canada’s premier competitions with over 35 teams competing annually.

The Original Grazing School for Women is excited to host an interactive workshop where women from across Northeast Alberta have the opportunity to learn about cattle health, management and calving in a safe, receptive environment. This event was created by farm women for farm women to provide opportunities to develop skills, ask questions and learn with other like-minded women. There’s an experienced speaker lineup highlighting how to make your farm more sustainable, exploring cattle nutrition, succession planning, fall grazing, and water source management.

Join the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef in Toronto for the 2025 Annual General Meeting focusing on “Collaboration and Learning in a Complex Era of Sustainability.”
The CRSB’s annual business meeting and conference sessions will be held on Tuesday, September 23, followed by a reception sponsored by Canada Beef. On Wednesday, Sept. 24, join the “Maple Leaf Beef Tour” as we tour a variety of farms around the areas.
The event will be hosted in collaboration with the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB), which will be hosting a Beef Sustainability Communicator’s Summit on Thursday, Sept. 25 and a Board meeting on September 26.

The Alberta Beef Producers’ Annual General Meeting (AGM) is being held alongside the Alberta Beef Industry Conference. The AGM brings together beef producers, delegates, industry representatives, and government officials. ABP delegates discuss pressing issues, review financials, elect board members, and vote on resolutions that shape the future of the industry.
ABP’s AGM is free to attend though registration is required (stay tuned for those details).

The Alberta Beef Industry Conference is one of Canada’s largest beef convention and tradeshows, hosted by five beef industry organizations in the province; Alberta Beef Producers, Alberta Cattle Feeders’ Association, Alberta Auction Markets Association, Alberta Livestock Dealers and Order Buyers Association, and the Western Stock Growers Association.
