ATB Financial and the Prairie Adaptation Research Collaborative (PARC) of the University of Regina are inviting professionals across various sectors in Alberta to complete an online survey. The goal is to better understand the impacts of climate change by determining climate sensitivity and important climate thresholds in key economic sectors in Alberta.
The survey responses are anonymous and broadly assess risk by sector, so no individual respondent’s information or details regarding specific employers will be requested.
The expectation is that the completion of this survey will be mutually beneficial. Detailed climate change projections have been developed for southeast, western, central, and northern Alberta for a large number of climate variables (e.g., number of very cold days, summer maximum temperature, length of growing season, seasonal precipitation, etc.). These projections would not typically be shared beyond the internal report; however, they will be included in the survey and will likely be useful to survey respondents.
