Nominations open for AFSC’s Women In Ag Award
Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) has opened nominations for the Women in Ag Award.
Awarded annually, the award recognizes the passion, dedication, and commitment of Alberta women within agriculture and agribusiness in Alberta.
Up to seven people will be chosen to receive an AFSC-branded award and a full attendance package for Advancing Women in Agriculture Conference (AWC West), including hotel accommodation. The conference takes place March 17-19, 2024.

- AFSC Women in Ag Employee Award
- Highlighting exceptional contributions of AFSC team members to the advancement of women in agriculture
- The Promoter
- Recognizing individuals advocating for a deeper understanding of agriculture through education, training, or outreach
- The Innovator
- Celebrating those finding innovative solutions to challenges in agriculture, addressing economic, environmental and social issues.
- The Community Builder
- Honouring individuals who bring communities together, elevate the agriculture community, and contribute to sector growth
- The Emergent/Rising Star
- Highlighting young leaders under 40 demonstrating passion for the agriculture industry, showing exceptional promise, and advocating for agriculture
- Professional Leader
- Recognizing those with paid agricultural careers demonstrating life-long leadership or mentorship
- The Operator
- Celebrating primary agriculture producers and agri-business owners supporting and empowering their peers.
- The Notable Lifetime Achiever
- Honouring individuals with life-long leadership and mentorship within the agriculture or agri-food industry.
