Introducing The Bovine — ABP’s inaugural podcast

Today, we’re launching our first episode of The Bovine, a podcast that shares the latest industry news to the comfort of your chore tractor, on your walks through the heifer pens, or to your favourite arm chair.

In an effort to connect Alberta’s beef industry and share some of the work happening at Alberta Beef Producers (ABP), we have expanded our communications offering to include an audio option.

For the first season of our podcast, The Bovine, we’ll feature information on animal behaviour, livestock industry innovations, market discussions, and conversations around the barbecue. We’ll also touch base with various ABP delegates, to hear some of their stories, what happens behind the scenes, and how producers can get involved with the organization.

The Bovine

For this first episode, you’ll hear:

• Dr. Melanie Wowk and Lindsay Roberts join host Debra Murphy to introduce The Bovine. 
• Mel Chmilar Jr. (@darksideofthegrill) and Corey Meyer (@coreythebutcher) join us to talk about the ever-underrated roast.
• Kira Hames, Livestock Gentec, gives context to the Arm-Chair Rancher app currently under development.
• Dr. Melanie Wowk shares her background, and brings light to the veterinary shortages facing the country (and world).
