Brad Dubeau grew up on a commercial Hereford ranch west of Medicine Hat, AB. He went to Montana State University and received a BS in Agriculture Business with a minor in Economics. After university he worked at TD Canada Trust as an Agricultural Account Manager, and then Alberta Hereford Association as their manager. Brad was then employed with Independent Breeders Service and eventually Alta Genetics in public relations. Mostly recently, he was the Director of Communications for the Canadian Hereford Association and Editor of the Canadian Hereford Digest. Brad continues to operate a grasser operation west of Medicine Hat.

Dana Boyle is a Certified Administrative Professional with training in human resources, labour and employment standards, and effective meeting facilitation. She has over 20 years of experience in administrative support and a proven track record of enhancing organizational efficiency.

Don is a senior accounting professional with over 20 years of diverse accounting experience and a master’s degree in business administration from the London School of Finance and Business. Fluent in both official languages, Donald is also a Commissioner of Oaths and former member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Kathy has over 20 years of administrative and accounting experience in both the foodservice and oil and gas sectors. She spent several years overseas prior to joining the team at ABP.

Mark was raised on a fifth-generation cattle operation near Armena, AB, where he continues to raise cattle with his brother. He previously worked with the Government of Alberta as a Public Land Specialist and has a strong understanding of how government and stakeholder groups work together. Mark has a Master’s Degree from the University of Alberta in range and wildlife management and is a graduate of the CCA mentorship program, the Cattlemen’s Young Leaders.

Debra has an extensive background in agriculture news media and developing relevant, engaging content for producer audiences. She grew up on a mixed farm and has a degree in agriculture from the University of Alberta. Debra ranches alongside her family in central Alberta.

Lindsay is an experienced brand developer with a proven record of increased brand recognition and growth. She has an extensive background in agri-marketing and a degree in communications from Mount Royal University. Lindsay has a passion for creative storytelling and all things agriculture.

Karin grew up on a mixed farm near Keoma, AB, raising purebred Simmental cattle and grain, and is still involved to a limited extent. She has a Master’s Degree in Agriculture from the University of Alberta which focused on the genetic and metabolic factors affecting feed efficiency in beef cattle. Before joining ABP, Karin spent just over four years with the Canadian Hereford Association as their Breed Development Coordinator.

Kaley Segboer-Edge has a bachelor’s in environmental science with a psychology minor. She has worked in various capacities in encouraging and supporting producer adoption of best management practices. She’s worked closely with VBP+ during her tenure as the Certified Sustainable Beef Framework Manager at the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef.
Kaley lives off-grid with her husband and their two-year-old in Central Alberta, where her favourite weekends are spent roping with family.
Responsibilities:
Taylor comes from a mixed grain and cattle operation by Lamont, AB, where she continues to raise purebred Angus and commercial cattle with her parents in her spare time. Taylor studied Animal Science Technology and Agribusiness at Lakeland College. With a strong background in livestock marketing and agricultural event planning, she is actively involved within the agricultural community and will be a familiar face from ABP at upcoming events.

Kara grew up on a grain farm near Bow Island, Alberta. After attending SAIT and the University of Calgary — where she obtained a degree in communication and media studies, and a diploma in broadcast news — Kara began her professional career working in agricultural communications and agricultural journalism.
Kara now farms alongside her family and her husband on the family farm, where they raise a mix of livestock, crops, and of course, barn cats. Kara has a passion for storytelling, but even more so, asking the questions that matter. You can find her surrounded by farmers/ranchers and a cup of coffee — or at an upcoming ABP event!
Responsibilities:
Jill grew up on a large commercial cow/calf operation at Spruce View, AB. She is still heavily involved on her family ranch and she and her brother have established Black Chrome Livestock, raising purebred Black Angus genetics. Jill attended Lakeland College, where she obtained her diploma in Agribusiness with a major in Marketing and Communications. She also has a Certificate in Graphic Design from Red Deer Polytechnic. Before taking on her role at ABP she worked for Olds College in Continuing Education as a Programming Coordinator for the school of Life Science & Business.
