Grade 5 to Grade 8
- Assignment: Choose one of two paths to showcase your creativity:
Art Focus: Create a 2D artwork (drawing, photo, or other) that tells a story or highlights sustainable cattle practices. Ensure your work is completely original – no pre-made templates or stock images.
Technical Focus: Design an engaging infographic (digitally or on poster paper) about a sustainable practice in cattle production. Imagine your infographic being displayed in a public place and include a clear call to action for those viewing your piece. Keep it clear, concise, using no more than 50 words. Assets, graphics, and stock images are allowed, but please cite the names and sources of any pre-existing resources you use.
- Creation Notes: If you use software such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator, please inform us of which software was used in the creation of your submission; this helps us understand the tools our contestants prefer and ensures transparency in the assessment process.
- Prizes: First place in each category will win $100 cash along with ABP swag. Second place in each category will win $50 cash along with ABP swag.
Grade 9 to Grade 12
- Assignment: Select one of the following formats:
Video: Produce a 1-3 minute video that conveys a story or highlights a technical innovation in cattle production, complete with a clear call to action. Videos to be saved as .mp4 or .mov; file sizes should not exceed 1GB.
Podcast: Record a 5-10 minute podcast episode that evokes emotion and inspires thought around a technological innovation in cattle production. Save your work in .mp3 format; file size should not exceed 100MB.
- Creation Notes: As we want to see your unique vision come to life, your overall submission should be original. You may incorporate other people’s work to a degree, but please cite your sources directly in your media production as well as on the submission form.
