In an ongoing effort to maximize investment in programs that directly benefit producers, Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) is moving to a smaller, more affordable office space.
“Our year ending March 31, 2022 showed that just under 25 per cent of our actual expenses went to administration,” says Brad Dubeau, General Manager of ABP. “We’ve made reallocating what we can to programming, and while we’re already down to the 16 to 17 per cent mark, we will continue to move the needle by moving to a smaller office space.”
The new space will see ABP downsize by 3000 square feet, and see an estimated $180,000 in savings starting in 2025.
“So much of what we do now is digital,” says Dubeau. “We don’t require the same storage space we once did. This move embraces that evolution, prioritizing meeting and working space as we continue to bring the cattle community together.”
Alberta Beef Producers’ new address, effective May 1, 2024, is:
