Checking in with ABP
What to read ahead of Producer Meetings
Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) will be holding our Producer Meetings in January and February, with five in-person events and one virtual.
In preparation for the upcoming meetings, we’ve compiled a few resources for your late-night or early-morning reading, and some reminders on what to bring along to the meetings.
- ABP 2021 Annual Report
- In the report, you’ll find a recap of check-off programs from the last fiscal year, and provincial and national financial reports. Also included are links to video updates from the ABP Chair, Finance Chair, and General Manager, as a complement to the written reports and financial statements.
- ABP’s 2022 Candidate Backgrounder
- Published in ABP Magazine, this page gives some quick quotes from the acclaimed candidates in all four zones.
- ABP’s three-part financial series from ABP Magazine, including:
- Alberta Beef Producers funding reaches critical turning point
- Repercussions of check-off refunds reach beyond ABP
- Prioritizing a path to financial sustainability
- 2020 Resolutions Report
- These resolutions were taken to the December 2020 AGM. ABP have since aligned our AGM with the Alberta Beef Industry Conference. The next resolutions are being collected from both sets of Producer Meetings (fall 2021 and winter 2022) and will be labelled 2021/2022 Resolutions, before transitioning back to single years.
- Preparing a resolution for upcoming Producer Meetings
- For those who want to inform change, but aren’t quite sure how to do it, this post outlines some of the processes, and some suggestions for writing your own resolution(s).
- Completed Resolution Form(s)
